🔒Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses on your device, why it is needed, and how it is handled. By using Prayer Times App you agree to this policy.

📍Location Information

Prayer Times App may request access to your device's location in order to calculate accurate prayer times for your current city or region.

• Location is used only to determine the city/coordinates needed for prayer-time calculations.
• Location data is never transmitted to any server controlled by us.
• If you choose not to grant location permission, the app defaults to Lahore, Pakistan as a fallback location.
• You can change the location manually in the app's Settings at any time.

🌎Internet Access

The app connects to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com) to fetch prayer timetables for your selected location.

• The only data sent to Aladhan is a city name or geographic coordinates — no personal identifiers.
• When offline, the app falls back to locally stored prayer times and never makes network requests.

🔔Notifications & Alarms

Prayer Times App schedules local device alarms and notifications to alert you at each prayer time (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha).

• Alarms are set and stored entirely on your device using Android's AlarmManager.
• No notification content or alarm history is sent to any external service.
• On Android 12+ the app requests the SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission; if denied it falls back to inexact alarms.
• Alarms are automatically rescheduled after a device reboot via a Boot Receiver.

🎶Audio Playback

The app plays an Azan (call to prayer) audio file at prayer times using audio files bundled within the app itself.

• No audio is recorded from your microphone.
• No audio data is sent to any server.

💾Local Data Storage

The app saves your preferences (selected location, calculation method, notification settings) using Android's local SharedPreferences / app storage.

• This data never leaves your device.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

👥Children's Privacy

Prayer Times App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, there is no special risk to younger users.

🔄Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The only external service contacted is the Aladhan prayer-time API, as described above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
