Welcome to PronounceIt ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe user experience. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile and desktop application collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our application.

1. Information Collection and Use

A. Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO)

PronounceIt requests permission to access your device's microphone solely to record your speech during pronunciation practice sessions. Speech audio is processed in real time by local AI algorithms to calculate pronunciation accuracy scores. Audio recordings are held temporarily in local memory and deleted immediately after scoring. We do not collect, store, or transmit your voice recordings off your device.

B. Local Usage Data

The application stores non-personal practice metrics on your local device, including:

• Total number of words practiced
• Average pronunciation accuracy scores (%)
• Daily practice streaks and timestamps
• Selected AI model tier settings
• User-added custom vocabulary words

2. Third-Party Services & Monetization

PronounceIt integrates third-party services to support application monetization and performance monitoring:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous information, such as your Advertising ID (Ad-ID), IP address, device specs, and general geographic region, to serve relevant advertisements and prevent ad fraud.

3. Data Security & Storage

Since your speech audio and practice history remain on your personal device, your data is protected by your device's native operating system security controls. We do not maintain external cloud databases containing your personal user data.

4. User Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your stored app data:

• Reset Practice Stats: You can clear all accumulated practice statistics and local logs at any time by navigating to the Profile tab in the app and selecting "Reset Stats".
• App Data Removal: Uninstalling the application automatically removes all locally stored app data from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

PronounceIt is rated for general audiences (Everyone / PEGI 3). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate measures to address the issue.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised "Effective Date." We encourage users to review this page periodically for any changes.
