CaloriTrack Privacy Policy

CaloriTrack helps users estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat from meal images. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process and how we use it.

Data We Process

• Account data: email address, display name, subscription plan, and scan usage.
• Optional profile data: age, location, height, weight, and goals if you choose to provide them.
• Meal scan data: detected food names, portions, calorie estimates, macro estimates, confidence scores, timestamps, and user corrections.
• Image data: food images are uploaded only for AI analysis.
• Device data: push notification tokens may be stored so we can send app notifications.

Image Storage

CaloriTrack does not store full food images or thumbnails in the current version. Images are processed transiently, sent to the configured AI provider for analysis, and discarded after processing.

AI Processing

Food images may be processed using Azure OpenAI or other configured AI services to estimate nutrition. AI results are estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Users should review and correct portions before relying on results.

How We Use Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To estimate meal calories and nutrition.
• To enforce scan limits and subscriptions.
• To improve app reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
• To send account, reminder, or promotional notifications where permitted.

Data Retention

Structured account and scan results are retained while your account is active, unless deletion is requested or required by law. Food images are not retained by CaloriTrack after analysis.

Children

CaloriTrack is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, including authenticated API access and secure transport. No system is completely secure.
